Our Team

Able Pear Software was founded in 2008 by Kevin Bomberry and Don McCaughey. This is their third venture together. Don and Kevin are focusing their combined 40+ years of experience on the mobile application space.

Kevin Bomberry, A/V and User Experience Designer

Kevin is experienced in graphic design, user experience, application and web design, motion graphics, video production, sound design and music composition.

From 2001 through 2007 Kevin was the Web and Operations Chair of MIT/Stanford Venture Lab (VLAB).

His first computer was a Commodore 64.

Don McCaughey, Agile Software Engineer

Don has built a wide range of applications, including shrink wrapped software, mission critical enterprise applications, web applications and e-commerce sites.

He has worked on many platforms and in many languages, with Google App Engine and iOS being recent additions.

His first computer was a Radio Shack TRS-80 Model III.

Able Pear Software is a boutique software development firm based in Burlingame, California focused on creating distinctive mobile apps for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

Able Pear also offers consulting and mentoring to companies interested in iOS and mobile application development.
